Account & data deletion

Delete your child’s Mamoru Kids data

Mamoru Kids has no username or password. A child’s profile is created when the device is paired with a parent’s Mamoru account using a code or QR code, so deletion always needs the parent — from the parent app, or on the child’s phone with the parent PIN. Here’s how, what we delete and what we keep.

Option 1 · Mamoru parent app

Delete from the parent app

The parent removes the child from the Mamoru app. Takes effect immediately.

  1. Mamoru parent app More tab with the Delete child option open next to a child
    1

    Open More → Children

In the Mamoru app, tap More, then the ⋮ next to the child and choose “Delete child”.

  2. Delete this child confirmation dialog with Cancel and Delete buttons
    2

    Confirm with “Delete”

The child and all their data are permanently removed. This cannot be undone.

  3. Child removed confirmation message in the Mamoru parent app
    3

    Done

You’ll see “Child removed”. Mamoru Kids on the child’s phone unlinks itself and clears its data.

Option 2 · Mamoru Kids child app

Delete from Mamoru Kids

Delete right on the child’s phone. The parent PIN is required, so a child can’t do it alone.

  1. Mamoru Kids settings screen with the Delete account option under Account
    1

    Open Settings → Account

In Mamoru Kids, open Settings from the Home screen and tap “Delete account”.

  2. Enter Parent PIN screen in Mamoru Kids
    2

    Enter the parent PIN

Only the parent can delete a child’s data, so the 4-digit parent PIN is required.

  3. Delete this account confirmation dialog in Mamoru Kids
    3

    Confirm with “Delete”

The data is deleted, the device is unpaired from the parent and every restriction is removed.

Both options permanently delete the child’s profile and data. This cannot be undone.

What we delete, and what we keep

Everything Mamoru Kids collected about your child is deleted — on our servers and on the device.

  • Records the law requires

If a legal record must be kept, we keep only that record, for only as long as the law requires.

FAQ

Before you delete

Still have a question? Email support@trymamoru.com. Read how we handle data in our Privacy Policy.

Why does Mamoru Kids ask for the parent PIN?+

Mamoru Kids has no username or password — the child’s profile is created by pairing with a parent account using a code or QR code. The parent PIN makes sure only the parent can delete it, not the child.

Does uninstalling Mamoru Kids delete the data?+

No. Uninstalling removes the app from the phone, but the child’s profile and data stay on our servers until they are deleted using one of the options on this page.

Can a deletion be undone?+

No. Once a child is deleted, their data cannot be recovered. To use Mamoru Kids again, the parent connects the device again as a new child.

Is the parent’s account deleted too?+

No. Deleting a child only removes that child. To close the parent account as well, email support@trymamoru.com from the parent account’s address.
