Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 17 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the Mamoru website and apps. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of any child whose device you connect. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
2. Acceptable use
Mamoru is for supervising your own children’s devices. You must not use it to monitor an adult, an employee, a partner, or any person without the legal right to do so. Monitoring someone without authority may be a criminal offence where you live. We may suspend accounts we reasonably believe are being used this way.
3. The service
Features differ between iOS and Android because each platform allows different levels of control. We may add, change or withdraw features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Mamoru is a supervision aid, not a safety or emergency service — it is not a substitute for your own judgement or supervision.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
- The Starter plan is free. Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose.
- A subscription bought on our website is billed by our payment processor; one bought inside a mobile app is billed by that app store under its own rules.
- Your plan applies to your account, so an upgrade bought on the web works in the mobile app and vice versa.
- Cancel any time. Access continues to the end of the paid period, after which the account returns to Starter.
- Refunds for app-store purchases are handled by that store. For web purchases, contact us and we will apply the refund rules that apply where you live.
5. Prices
Prices shown on this site are in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply. We may change prices for future periods; a change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a renewal at a new price.
6. Your content
Child profiles, tasks, rewards and rules you create remain yours. You grant us the licence needed to host and process them so the service can work. We do not claim ownership of them.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Mamoru is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the service in place of direct supervision. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Ending the agreement
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless prevented by law.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; we will post the new version here with a revised date and, for material changes, notify you. Questions go to support@trymamoru.com.
